Timothy James Cooper of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene. At his passing, Tim was surrounded by his parents, James Lavon and Sherrill Lee (Zachow) Cooper of Lewiston; his son, Zachery James Cooper of Hayden, Idaho; his sister, Roben Cooper-Dixon, and niece Bailey Glenn of Spokane; and his aunt and uncle, Joyce and Joe Aubrey, of Weiser, Idaho. Tim also leaves behind a nephew, Tanner Chas Dixon of Berkeley, Calif., and sisters Shelley Thomas of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Lainey Gross of Sapulpa, Okla. Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Daniel Cooper, and foster brother Alan Creech.

Tim was born June 22, 1958, in Boise. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1976.

Tim was exceptionally proud of the contributions he made during his 33 years working for Wagstaff in Spokane Valley. Beginning in November of 1984, he traveled throughout the U.S. and around the world, problem-solving for their research and development department. During his time with the company, he had his name attached to a Wagstaff patent. In documenting his many travels, he became a Diamond Medallion Member for Delta Airlines. He retired from the Wagstaff family in October of 2017.

An avid outdoorsman, Tim loved both bow and rifle hunting, and capturing that elusive salmon. He was at his happiest when hiking through the northern Idaho mountains he called home.

The family will have a graveside celebration of Tim’s life at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston.
