Obituary for Carson Lee Dawson

Carson Lee Dawson, a longtime Clarkston resident, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.

Carson was born on Jan. 1, 1960, a New Year’s baby, in Orofino to Maxine and Raymond Dawson of Kooskia.

Carson graduated from Charles Francis Adams High School in 1978. He was a gifted musician at playing the drums. After graduation, he joined various bands playing in Canada and the Northwest. He became an accomplished welder and worked for Detrays Well Drilling, Hanford and the Sugar Beet Factory in the Tri-Cities. After that, he worked at the Lewiston Pre Mix and for Tigers Auctioneering in Clarkston, as well as doing various custom welding jobs at his home.

Carson is survived by his sister, Shannon Gaines, and two nephews, Josh and Casey Gaines.

There will be a joint Celebration of Life for both Carson and his cousin, Doug Dickison, at noon on April 30, at Doug’s home, 1437 Highland Ave., Clarkston. Please join us in sharing memories and a barbecue.
