Obituary for Justin James Martin
Justin James Martin, 45, was born Friday, May 13, 1977, and passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston.
Justin spent his 45 years in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, other than a short stay in Uniontown, while baking wonderful breads at Sage Bakery. After baking, he started with Central Optical in Clarkston, making eyeglass lenses.
Justin was everybody’s buddy and developed close friends, and he enjoyed spending time upriver. Justin was blessed with a son and a daughter, Tanis James Martin 11 years ago and Sophie Herres 13 years ago.
Justin is survived by his children, Tanis Martin and Sophie Herres; his parents, Jim and Debbie Martin; sister Stayce (Sean) McCabe; niece Kaitlynn (Zach) Sims and children Jessalynn, Isaiah and Noah; and nephew Kyren McCabe. He is also survived by his grandfather, Maurice Bristol, and his aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Chet and Lela Martin, Milt and Marsha Dodson, Eva Bristol, uncle Kerry Martin and cousin Savanna Bristol.
The family would like to thank Tri-State Memorial Hospital’s ER and ICU staff. A celebration of life will take place at a later date with a notification to follow.
