Obituary for Rodney Morris Rogers

Rodney was born Dec. 17, 1925, to Guy And Amy Rogers in Salem Ore. He died peacefully in his home in Clarkston on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Rodney served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Pacific theater in the amphibious branch, Scout and Raiders.

After receiving an honorable discharge, he married Clara Sansom on April 10, 1948, in Springfield Ore.

Moved to Enterprise, Ore., then relocated to their final home in Clarkston in 1952, where he worked as an aviation mechanic, auto mechanic and construction on the grain elevators in the area. Rodney earned his commercial pilots license in 1948, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Clarkston.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Clara, and grandson Rodney Norman Rogers.

Rodney has two surviving sons Ralph W. Rogers, of Lewiston, and Steve Rogers, of Clarkston. Two granddaughters, Tammie and Ivan, their children and grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston. A potluck dinner will follow at the family home.
