Obituary for Sally Ann Johnson (Galvin)
Sally A. Johnson, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at her Clarkston home.
Sally Ann Galvin was born Jan. 5, 1940, in Menomonie, Wis., to James H. Galvin and Alma A. Wagner. Sally’s dad died in January of 1954 and that summer, Sally, her mother and sister Mary moved to Lewiston.
Sally graduated in 1958 from Lewiston High School. She retired Jan. 20, 1995, after 36 years as a microbiologist with the state lab at the North Central District Health Department in Lewiston.
Sally and Andrew J. Nick were married Oct. 4, 1963. Andy passed away March 9, 1993. Then Sally married Duane W. Johnson on June 11, 1994. Dewey passed away Jan. 24, 2015.
Sally was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges.
She is preceded in death by her parents and both husbands; sister Patricia Brockway; brother Thomas Galvin and two nephews Tom and Tim Brockway. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Leland and Mary Shows; six nieces Lynn Matheny, Debbie Castignetti, Kathy Stephenson, Toni Simmons, Sari Brockway and Lori Robison; and two nephews Scott and Jeff Shows.
We are thankful to her niece Lori and Sally’s neighbors for looking after her.
